Can i boil frozen chicken? or do i need to thaw first?

I boil frozen chicken a lot of times. Usually I forget to pull chicken out of the freezer for dinner, or I am making it last minute, so I boil it quickly then put on some marinade, toppings, or seasoning and throw it in the oven for a short period of time.
