I need help developing a point-and-click adventure game!?

I am interested in developing an interactive point-and-click adventure game in the style of the Nancy Drew PC games, the Phoenix Wright series, the Harvey Birdman game, and other similar detective advenures. I am artistically able, but I lack the programming knowledge. I tried using Ren'py, but the engine does not allow the user to "collect evidence" and "present it later on", which is one of the main things I am looking for. I found several other engines, such as AGS, but the picture quality is lacking. Is there a program that can help me make my desired game?!
