Why are GW deniers allowed to present Congress false information without penalty?

What's disturbing is why they want to deny it. For money to keep lining their own pockets? On the backs of their grandchildren? It's repellent not only how greedy they are, but how much they look like ignorant mouth-breathers when they run around saying it snowed somewhere so there's no warming. Oh, if only they would read the data rather than parse it trying to refute it out of hand. It's like Christians playing with the bible. (And should be no surprise it's the same people who do both.)
